Dispute rules
A dispute is a formal objection to how one introduction was handled. Anyone in that introduction can raise one. This page says what counts, who decides, and what happens to the money while it is being decided.

01Who we are
VOUCHD.AFRICA SERVICES · RC 9962485, with a registered office at 129, IJU ROAD, IFAKO-IJAIYE, LAGOS, NIGERIA.
02What a dispute is for
A business may dispute an introduction it believes was not real — a client it already serves, a contact the introducer never actually spoke to, or a deal described differently from how it happened.
An introducer may dispute a commission that was not paid, was calculated on terms other than the ones stored on the programme, or was lost because the business took the client through another door.
03What we do not referee
We do not decide the quality of goods or services delivered. If the client is unhappy with the work, that is between the client and the business — raise it with them, not with us.
We also do not decide a deal that has not happened yet, or a promise that was never written into the programme. If it is not on the record, we have nothing to weigh.
04When you can raise one
Within 30 days of the event you are disputing. The deadline is the same one the workspace shows on that introduction. After it passes you can still write to us, but you have lost the right to have money reversed on that ground.
05What to send
Say plainly what happened and when, and attach what you have: messages, the invoice, the payment reference, the date the client was first mentioned. Stick to facts you can show. A short, evidenced dispute is decided faster than a long one.
06What happens the moment you raise it
The introduction is put on hold. No commission is paid out while it is on hold, and the hold is recorded on the introduction so both sides can see it. The other side is told a dispute exists and gets to answer. Both sides then see the same record — nothing is decided on a message one of you sent privately.
07Who decides
A Vouchd administrator who has no stake in the introduction. The decision is written down with reasons and saved to the introduction, and both sides are given the same wording.
08The two outcomes
Upheld. The commission is not paid, or is reversed if it already was, and the reason is recorded. Where the dispute is upheld against an introducer, the trust score is affected.
Not upheld. The hold is released and the commission is payable on the normal clock.
Money is never edited or deleted on Vouchd. A reversal is written as a new entry next to the original, so the record always shows both what was paid and what was given back.
09Appealing
File an appeal within 7 days of the decision, with what you believe was missed or wrong. Your appeal is decided by a different person than the one who decided the first time — the system will not let the same person decide both. The appeal decision is final within Vouchd.
10What a dispute costs you
A dispute upheld against an introducer costs 10 trust points, up to a maximum of 25. A pattern of disputes raised without evidence counts against you the same way — the point of the process is to fix real problems, not to delay payment.
11The clocks
| Raise a dispute | within 30 days of the event |
|---|---|
| Commission while on hold | not paid out |
| Appeal a decision | within 7 days |
| Who hears the appeal | a different administrator |
| Decision | we aim to decide within 10 working days of the last answer |
12Outside Vouchd
Nothing here stops either side using the ordinary legal route. These rules are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the courts of Lagos have jurisdiction.
13Contact
Write to support@vouchd.africa with the introduction reference. If you cannot see a way to raise it in the workspace, tell us and we will do it from the record.
We would rather be the place a problem gets settled than the place it gets argued. Raise it early and we will tell you exactly where you stand.
