Privacy notice

This notice says what Vouchd collects, why we collect it, who sees it and when we delete it. It covers vouchd.africa, the business and introducer workspaces, and the introduction links we send to clients.

01Who we are

VOUCHD.AFRICA SERVICES · RC 9962485, with a registered office at 129, IJU ROAD, IFAKO-IJAIYE, LAGOS, NIGERIA.

For anything about your data, write to support@vouchd.africa.

02If you are a business

We collect your company details, including your CAC registration number and TIN, one director's identity details, your bank account for payouts and deposits, the programme terms you set, the client list you give us, and a record of every payment and commission.

We collect these to check who you are, to run the programme, and to keep records that tax and company law require. A business can only go live once Vouchd has approved it.

03If you are an introducer

We collect your name, contact details, your TIN if you give us one, your bank account for payouts, the introductions you register, your check-in answers, your trust score and the messages between us.

We collect these so a business can decide whether to take an introduction, so we can pay you, and so a client's answer can be traced back to a real person.

04If we contacted you as a client

An introducer gives us your name and phone number or email, and a short note on how they know you, so we can ask whether you would like to be introduced to one business. That is the whole reason we hold your details.

If you say no, or do not reply within 14 days, we delete your details. If you say yes, we share your name and contact with that one business only — and they must handle your details under their own notice, not ours.

05Your yes

Where the introduction carries an email address, we send the client a one-time code and only record a yes once the code is entered. We keep the code as a one-way hash, not as the code itself, and it expires after 10 minutes. The fact that you said yes, and when, is kept on the introduction.

06Check-ins

We may send you up to two short messages after an introduction, at about 90 and 180 days, asking whether you went ahead. Your answer is never shown to the introducer and is read only by Vouchd staff. One tap stops them, and stopping them costs you nothing.

07Client lists

A business uploads its client list so its own clients cannot be claimed as new introductions. We store only a one-way fingerprint of each entry — never the names, numbers or emails — and use it for that one check. A fingerprint cannot be turned back into a client list.

08Who we share with

The business you said yes to; the payment provider that moves money to an introducer; an identity or tax check where one is required; and anyone legally entitled to ask, on a valid request. We do not sell personal data, and we do not pass client details to other introducers.

09How we protect it

Access is limited by role — an introducer sees their own introductions, a business sees its own programme, and money records cannot be edited or deleted once written. Public client links are limited in how often they can be opened and answered from one place, and codes are hashed rather than stored. We tell you if your details are ever exposed.

10How long we keep it

A client who says no or never repliesdeleted — no later than day 14
A client's yes and check-in answersheld on the introduction; answers read only by Vouchd
Payments and commissions7 years, for tax and audit
Account and verification detailsuntil the account closes, then the statutory period
Link attempt logsthe short window used to block abuse

11Your rights

We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. You can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected, ask us to delete it, and object to check-ins at any time. Email support@vouchd.africa and we will answer in writing. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

12Children

The service is for adults. We do not knowingly contact anyone under 18.

13Changes

The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If we make a change that matters to you, we will email you as well as update the date.

If you cannot find your details on this page, they are probably not in our system — that is usually the answer, and we would rather say so plainly.
