Questions

Straight answers.

How introductions are confirmed, how money moves, and what happens when something goes wrong.

Getting started

▶What is Vouchd?

Software for running a referral programme. Businesses set commission terms, introducers recommend them to clients, and every introduction is confirmed by the client before it counts. When the client pays, the introducer is paid.

▶Which businesses can join?

During the pilot: B2B service firms in business setup and compliance, IT and connectivity, and business software. You need a CAC-registered company and a TIN.

▶Who can become an introducer?

Verified professionals with real business networks. Accountants earn in disclosed mode, lawyers can introduce without commission, employees need their employer’s consent, and public officials can’t earn commission.

▶How long does setup take?

About 20 minutes for a business, plus up to 2 working days for us to verify. Introducers are verified within 3 working days.

Introductions

▶When does an introduction count?

When the client taps “Yes, introduce me”. That moment is timestamped and becomes the introducer’s claim.

▶What is the protection window?

The period after a business accepts an introduction, 180 days by default. If the client signs inside it, the commission is owed.

▶What if the client is already a customer?

Clients on the business’s uploaded list are stopped before anyone contacts them. Otherwise, the business needs dated proof, such as a contract or invoice from before the client said yes.

▶Can a business decline an introduction?

Yes, within 5 working days, against the criteria it published. If it signs that client within 90 days of declining, the introduction is reinstated.

▶What if two introducers name the same client?

The first open introduction stands. The second introducer is told the client is already registered, but not by whom.

Money and tax

▶Do clients pay through Vouchd?

No. Clients pay the business directly. The business records each payment, and the commission on it is calculated automatically.

▶Does Vouchd hold anyone’s money?

No. Commission funding, deposits and payouts sit with our licensed payment partner. Vouchd keeps the records.

▶When are introducers paid?

The business funds the commission within 7 days of recording the client’s payment. The introducer is paid within 3 working days after that.

▶How is withholding tax handled?

The business deducts and remits it. Vouchd calculates it on every payout, gives the business a schedule and gives the introducer a receipt.

▶What if the client pays in instalments, or asks for a refund?

Commission is paid on each instalment as it’s recorded. A refund within 60 days reverses the matching commission from the introducer’s next payout.

Trust and disputes

▶What stops a business from hiding a win?

At 90 and 180 days we ask the client whether they went ahead. A yes on an unreported deal opens a review, and the business must show why no commission is owed.

▶What is the trust score?

A score out of 100 for each business, built from how reliably it funds commission, how fast it reviews, disputes it has lost, and client check-ins. Introducers see it on every offer.

▶How are disputes decided?

Either side raises a dispute with evidence within 30 days. The other side has 5 working days to respond. Vouchd decides within 14 days, citing the published rule, and one appeal is allowed.

▶What happens to an introducer who breaks the rules?

Misrepresenting a business, a false conflict declaration or offering a client part of the commission voids the introduction. Serious or repeated cases end the account.

Data and privacy

▶What happens to our client list?

It’s scrambled on your computer before upload. We can only tell whether a new introduction matches someone on it; we can’t read the list.

▶What happens to a client’s details if they say no?

They’re deleted within 24 hours. The same happens if they don’t answer within 14 days.

▶Where can I read the full privacy notice?

On our privacy notice page, which explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act.

If you were introduced

Someone sent you a Vouchd link. Here’s what it means.

▶Am I committing to anything?

No. Saying yes only lets the business contact you. You decide whether to work with them.

▶Why is the person who introduced me paid?

Businesses pay introducers for recommending them, much as they would pay for advertising. The difference is that you chose this introduction and can see it.

▶Will Vouchd message me again?

At most twice in six months, to ask whether you went ahead, so the introducer is paid fairly. One tap stops these messages.

Still have a question?
