Rules and legal
Terms of use
These terms are the agreement between you and Vouchd when you use vouchd.africa, the workspaces and the introduction links we send. They apply to businesses, introducers and the clients we contact on a business's behalf.

01Who we are
VOUCHD.AFRICA SERVICES · RC 9962485, with a registered office at 129, IJU ROAD, IFAKO-IJAIYE, LAGOS, NIGERIA.
Write to hello@vouchd.africa for anything about these terms.
02What Vouchd is, and what it is not
Vouchd runs commission-based introduction programmes: it registers an introduction, asks the client whether they want it, keeps the record of what happened, calculates what is owed and moves the money.
Vouchd is not a party to the contract between a business and a client. The business supplies whatever it sells and is responsible for it. A Vouchd introduction is an introduction, not a guarantee of quality, and Vouchd does not act as agent, broker, guarantor or adviser for either side.
03Who may use it
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. A business joins with its company details, including its CAC registration number, its TIN and one director's identity details. An introducer joins with a real name and contact details. A client never signs up — a client only answers an introduction they were sent.
Each account is yours alone. Do not share your login, and tell us at support@vouchd.africa if you think someone else is using it.
04What you tell us
You must give accurate information and keep it up to date — your contact details, your bank account, your tax status and the introductions you register. Registering a person you have never spoken to, or a client you already serve, breaks these terms.
05Programmes and what we check
A business's programme goes live only once the business has been approved, its deposit has been recorded, and its terms, promises and pitch lines have passed our checks. We can refuse a programme, send it back with the reason recorded, or pull a live programme if circumstances change.
Our checks are about how a programme is set up and whether it can be paid for. We do not audit a business's claims about its work, and approval of a programme is not a recommendation of the business.
06Introductions and the client's yes
Nothing counts until the client says yes. Where the introduction carries an email address, that yes is confirmed by a one-time code we send to the client. A link expires 14 days after it is sent.
If two introducers name the same client, the first open introduction stands. The second introducer is told the client is already registered, but not by whom.
07Existing clients
A business gives us its client list so its own clients cannot be claimed. We store only a one-way fingerprint of each entry, never the names or numbers, and use it for that one check.
08Fees, commission and tax
Commission is calculated from the terms stored on the programme at the time the introduction was registered. Where tax is withheld from a commission, the rate follows the introducer's type and tax status — currently 5% for an individual with a TIN and 10% otherwise. These rates are a working assumption taken from guidance, not tax advice; confirm your own position with a tax adviser.
On introductions that come through the Vouchd network, a network fee of 10% of commission applies, dropping to 5% from the fourth deal won between the same business and the same introducer.
Commission is paid out within 3 working days of the business's payment being recorded. A business must fund an unpaid commission within 7 days; we warn at day 14 and pause new introductions at day 21.
09Deposit and plan fees
Before a programme goes live, a business places a refundable deposit of at least ₦250,000. It exists to pay commissions that the business has not yet funded, and any part of it that is not used is returned when the business closes its account. Your plan fee is the one published on the Pricing page.
10Trust score
Every introducer starts on a provisional score of 70. A score of 60 or above is needed to work the network. A dispute upheld against an introducer costs 10 points, up to a maximum of 25. The score is ours to set and adjust, and we tell you when it changes.
11The clocks
These are the timers that run on an introduction. They are the same ones the workspace shows you.
| Client has to answer | 14 days, then the link dies |
|---|---|
| Business reviews a yes | 5 working days |
| Business records a payment | 7 days from the payment date |
| Commission paid out | 3 working days from the recorded payment |
| Client check-ins | about 90 and 180 days after the yes |
| Dispute must be raised | within 30 days |
| Appeal must be filed | within 7 days of a decision |
12What you must not do
Do not invent prospects, introduce yourself or your own company, or pay an introducer outside the record. Do not upload data you have no right to use, harass anyone, or send introductions to people who never agreed to hear from you. Do not try to work around the limits on our client links, scrape the service, or edit a record after the fact. Pitch lines must stay within our wording rules; we can send back anything that overpromises.
13Suspension, and closing your account
We can suspend or close an account where there is fraud, abuse of the client's trust, a legal risk, or a pattern of broken promises. You can close your account at any time. Commission already earned on an introduction that completed stays payable, and money records we are required to keep are kept.
14Disputes
If you think an introduction was handled wrongly, raise a dispute within 30 days. The full process — who decides, what happens to the money meanwhile, and how to appeal — is set out in the Dispute rules.
15Reliability
We aim to keep the service running and tell you about planned work. We do not promise it will never be interrupted, and an introduction deadline missed because of an outage is not your fault — tell us and we will look at the record.
16Liability
To the fullest extent Nigerian law allows, Vouchd is not liable for lost profit, lost business or other indirect loss. Where we are liable, our total responsibility to you for anything arising in a year is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in that year or ₦250,000. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
17Changes to these terms
We will tell you before a change takes effect, by email and by the date at the top of this page. If you do not agree, you can close your account and take your records with you.
18Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos have jurisdiction. Write to hello@vouchd.africa, or support@vouchd.africa if it is about a specific introduction.
We would rather fix a problem than argue about it. If something here is unclear or unfair to you, say so and we will explain it in writing.
